Most credit cards are standardized to the same width (85.6mm). This makes them the perfect tool for a quick face-width measurement.
Position the Card
Stand in front of a mirror and place the credit card vertically on your nose.
Align with Eye
Move the edge of the card to the center of your pupil or the corner of your eye.
Check the Edge
Note where the far edge of the card lines up with your face.
Small
Card extends beyond the width of your eye.
Medium
Card ends exactly at the edge of your eye.
Large
Card ends before reaching the eye edge.
Read Your Current Frames

Lens Width
The horizontal width of each lens at its widest point.
Bridge Width
The distance between the two lenses over your nose.
Temple Length
The complete length of the arm from hinge to end tip.
